covid-19 update

Namaste Beloveds

Beginning Sunday March 27, 2022, the Unity of Sacramento campus is reopening to the public and in-person Sunday services will resume. . We are so excited to welcome you back!  Our Sunday Service Team as well as the Ushers & Greeters, Hospitality, and Cleaning Ministry teams are getting everything ready to welcome you back!

While hospitalization rates in California are falling we remain aware that we are still in a global pandemic and seek establish meeting guidelines that take into account local, state and federal recommendations.   Our COVID Reentry Committee met recently and is recommending Unity of Sacramento take the following steps as we open our doors to the public:

To align with State and County COVID-19 guidelines, we have chosen the following protocols. Should a time come that there is another outbreak, or the guidelines change, we may choose to reconsider and issue revised internal and external protocols.

• We are no longer requiring registration ahead of time to attend services.

• It is our strong recommendation that all on the Unity of Sacramento campus continue masking.

• We ask that all continue to be diligent in efforts to keep everyone safe by monitoring symptoms of illness.  Please do not come onto the campus if you are having any symptoms and/or have a known exposure to any variants of COVID-19.  Please inform Unity of Sacramento if you have tested positive or have had a known or suspected exposure after being on campus.

• There will be a temperature check at the door. Anyone having a temperature above 99 degrees will not be allowed entry at that time.

• As before, hand sanitizer is made available throughout the building.

• [INTERNAL] We are no longer conducting or requiring COVID-19 testing of staff and volunteers ahead of services, but we are still taking temperatures upon entering the building before Sunday services. Anyone having a temperature above 99 degrees must return home and is strongly encouraged to take a COVID-19 test and report results to Administration.

• [INTERNAL]  Masks are strongly recommended for all front-line staff and volunteers.
